The Tactical Hazardous Operational Robot (THOR) is one of the earliest full scale humanoid robots created by the TREC lab for the Navy to fight fires onboard ships. THOR was created with the idea of going where no human should have to go; fires aboard ships are highly dangerous due to the high heat and the dangerous fumes.
