Maddie is an undergraduate Electrical Engineering student with a focus in controls, robotics and autonomy. She joined the lab during the summer of 2021 where she worked on the Darwin-OP robot to get it working with an Arduino and design an Arduino shield to control the motors. This semester she is participating in the Fralin Undergraduate Research Fellowship where her project focuses on the electrical redesign of a humanoid robot called Escher. The project focuses on the low level controls which includes redesigning PCB shields for the microcontrollers and motor controllers.
